The activpayroll team has donated Easter eggs to Aberdeen Cyrenians to help bring a smile to those less fortunate.
Last week, the activpayroll team was kindly given a selection of Easter eggs from international payment partner, Equiniti, during their trip to the activpayroll HQ in Aberdeen. Once again, the team showed their kindness and generosity by donating these to the less fortunate instead of keeping them in-house. This follows on from the Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Singapore offices’ decision last year to donate their Easter eggs, a gift from the Board of Directors, to Northsound Cash for Kids.
This year, the Easter eggs were donated to voluntary organisation Aberdeen Cyrenians. Aberdeen Cyrenians aim to meet the needs of people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or affected by hardship in any way. The charity listens to their difficulties and provides support in order to ultimately find an end to their problems. The Easter eggs will be donated to children and adults who are living in poverty and would otherwise not get any chocolate this Easter.
Nicky MacBeath, Fundraising Officer of Aberdeen Cyrenians, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received this donation of Easter eggs from activpayroll. It’s great that they have given our service users a special treat to help make Easter that little bit more enjoyable for them. In the current economic climate the north-east is facing, a gesture like this is even more appreciated.
Sian Odgers, Business Service Director of activpayroll, added: “To most of us, something as simple as an Easter egg is often taken for granted, but for many disadvantaged children and adults it is seen as a luxury. Hopefully the generosity of Equiniti and the activpayroll team will help lift the spirits of many this Easter. Aberdeen Cyrenians have a dedicated team who work relentlessly in order to deliver a much needed service to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, making them a deserving charity for our donation.”
This charitable gesture is just the beginning of this year’s CSR push at activpayroll. The team has already signed up for a host of events to raise funds for a range of charities and CEO, Alison Sellar, will be at the forefront, with two gruelling challenges planned this year which are soon to be unveiled.
