activpayroll, the global payroll and employee mobility solutions expert, celebrated National Payroll Week (the 7th – 11th September) by involving both their UK offices, Aberdeen & Edinburgh, in a number of fund-raising activities.
The Aberdeen office impressively covered the distance from the Aberdeen HQ to the Paris office, a total of 821.00 miles in aid of Epilepsy Action. Thanks to a generous donation of gym equipment from DG Fitness & Leisure in Aberdeen, the whole team managed to get involved in running, rowing and cycling the distance. Additional funds were raised through team bake sales and dress down days.
Meanwhile, the Edinburgh office successfully hosted an afternoon tea party, inviting guests from surrounding companies in order to maximise fundraising and spread awareness. Their proceeds were donated to the Marie Curie Hospice in Edinburgh.
CEO of activpayroll, Alison Sellar said: “National Payroll Week is the biggest celebration of the year within the payroll industry, and this year we focused our efforts into raising as much as possible for our two chosen charities! Although I was on business travel in Dubai then London for the week, I still managed to clock up some miles at the gym during that time to help the team!”
