To celebrate, both offices will be taking part in a range of charitable activities in order to raise awareness and funds for three charities to coincide with this year’s CSR campaign, #activAlison – Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, Maggie’s and Friends of ANCHOR.
Celebrations will kick off a few days early when the activpayroll team will take part in a cyclathon at Sainsbury’s in Garthdee, Aberdeen on Friday 2nd September. Members of the team will cycle throughout the day on two exercise bikes to complete a total of seven hours on the bikes. All funds raised during the seven hour cycle will be donated to Maggie’s.
When National Payroll Week officially launches on Monday 5th, team members in the Edinburgh office will volunteer their time to Maggie’s Centre Edinburgh by getting stuck into some gardening. In addition to this, some members have offered their time to volunteer in the Stockbridge Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland boutique store.
Those in the Aberdeen office have also offered their time to help do some gardening at Maggie’s Aberdeen and work in the three Northeast Chest Heart & Stroke boutique stores (Cults, Rosemount and Banchory). Two members of the team will also lend their time to Friends of ANCHOR and help them plan their 20th year celebrations.
Throughout the week the two offices will also host lunchtime buffets and bakes sales to encourage employees to make a charitable donation, all of which will be split between the #activAlison charities.
