This month, activpayroll has been embracing the season of goodwill and giving back to those that need it most. From shoebox appeals to free meals, find out how the team has been helping the less fortunate across three different continents.
Singapore
This Christmas, the team is supporting Free Food for All (FFFA), a registered charity providing free halal meals to the less fortunate, in particular the elderly, disabled and those in financial difficulty. Since its inception in 2014, FFFA has provided over 500,000 free meals across Singapore. With Christmas set to be a particularly challenging time for the charity, the activpayoll team has pledged to help the charity raise vital funds so that they can continue to provide meals for the many living in hunger.
Cape Town
The Cape Town team has been supporting the Santa Shoebox Project for a few years now, and this year was no exception. The Santa Shoebox Project is an initiative that collects and distributes personalised gifts of essential items and treats for underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia. Boxes include items such as toothbrushes, soap, sweets, toys and clothing. The team’s generous donation has contributed towards a total of 63,099 shoeboxes reaching underprivileged children this Christmas that would have otherwise gone without anything on Christmas morning.
Aberdeen
Following the extreme generosity shown by team members last year, activpayroll decided to once again support the Instant Neighbour Giving Tree Appeal. Instant Neighbour works with families across the North-East of Scotland who are living in difficult situations, many of these families are unable to afford to buy Christmas gifts for their children. Gift tags with the age and name of a boy or girl were displayed in the Aberdeen office or sent out via email to team members that wished to take part. Team members then purchased a suitable gift to donate to Instant Neighbour.
