We are delighted to announce that we are now officially a Most Loved Workplace® in the UK following our certification by the Best Practice Institute (BPI), an internationally recognized organisation that measures employees’ sense of belonging and investment in the companies they work for.
Most Loved Workplace certification recognises our ability to promote and deliver on collaboration across the business; demonstrate respect; and assist our people in achieving professional and personal goals. A major part of the process is an employee survey that measures how connected and invested employees are with the company goals and values.
David Deacon, Chief People Office welcomed the news: “This is a great achievement and one that recognises our progression towards a truly open, transparent and positive leadership style. We are determined to create a great working experience where our teams have the best possible chance of success and growth, and while this is still a work in progress, this certification proves we are on the right track.
“I am very proud of this company and the people in it, and I am delighted that we have been awarded this internationally recognized standard, acknowledging the satisfaction and engagement of our people. Instrumental in achieving this certification is employee’s recognition and having our team respond so positively to our efforts is brilliant. Coming on the back of last year’s Best Employer Award this really cements the work our team has put in to drive a positive culture and make sure we are indeed a Most Loved Workplace.”
“We will use this prestigious certification to hold ourselves to account and as a measure to ensure we continue to improve in all aspects of delivering an excellent working environment for all, including reaching for international certification and addressing any shortfalls from the research.”
Over the past two years we have introduced a number of initiatives designed to create a workplace where our people are seen as our greatest resource. These include:
- Ending stressful probation periods
- Introducing employee led Networks and Team Advisory Board
- Increasing the number of internal promotions and mobility
- Embraced hybrid working
- Revamping our policies to make them more relatable
Most Loved Workplaces® are certified companies where employees are the happiest and most satisfied at work. We were certified as a Most Loved Workplace based on our scores on the Love of Workplace Index™ which surveyed employees on topics such as employee satisfaction and sentiment including the level of respect, collaboration, support, and the sense of belonging they feel inside the company.
Louis Carter, the founder, and CEO of the Best Practice Institute (BPI) said:
"I started Most Loved Workplaces out of inspiration from my community of people who consciously place love for their employees at the center of their business model."
David added:
“This certification only applies to the UK so we are now looking at how we can take this forward and include all our offices. Keep an eye out for more information on Most Loved Workplace coming to a location near you.”
Backed by BPI, Most Loved Workplaces surveyed more than 175 companies and over 3,000 executives across the United States, the Middle East/Northern Africa, and Southeast Asia. They found that productivity rises as employee sentiment increases, with 94 percent of responders saying they did three to four times more work for a company they loved and 95 percent saying they stayed at companies they loved three to four times longer. Most Loved Workplaces certification is the most valid method to determine employee experience and recognize a great workplace.
